ESWA’s VWRs have been busy. As of 8/8/24:
84 different VWRs have done 212 unique patrols, hiking 1,327 miles over 1,184 hours, and encountering 7,856 trail users and 664 dogs (73% of whom were oleash – the dogs that is)
Four VWRs have already done over 10 patrols each, led by Frances Hartogh with 22, followed by Mike Browning, Tom Lawson, and Brad Benz
22 different VWRs have done 29 unique trailhead host outings, over 99 hours,
and talked with 1,117 trail users
Joan Betz leads the trail hosts with six trailhead host outings over 18 hours
While impressive, that leaves a lot of VWRs who have not yet met their four patrol and/or THH commitment. The season is more than halfway done, so put on your boots and get hiking (or sitting)!
