It often begins with the trees. Once temperatures linger above freezing for long enough, furry blooms called catkins begin to bloom on the aspen trees. Thanks to the wind, pollination begins. Soon everything is in bloom. The High Country glows in hues of verdant splendor as the snow streams down the mountains and into the bulging rivers.
